One Saucy Wench: Aphrodite & Booty Calls, And Desire For Mortal Lovers: Part 3

Aphrodite Being Untied by Cupid
Although, Aphrodite is praised for her beauty, and an outlandish sexuality, and behavior, as I stated many times before.
She is also, connected to prestigious moments in mythology, and mortal life.
Aphrodite Embark A Bath
She was praised as the war goddesses, in Cythera & Sparta.

Also, she was honored by the sailors in battle; because she would bring protection in sea battles, and so forth.
Aphrodite is mostly connected to the water, as many beautiful portraits of her in the sea, or being bathed.

Her water activities, never stop her into involving into lewd acts, and loving myths, that made her the most sought out deity of them all.
As I, dig into more into this mythical creature, her acts of spontaneous love affair seem to collide. In simpler words,
Aphrodite attaches herself to gods that are rejected in some fashion. Their insecurities, and lack of respect from others alike; overshadows their talent, or they were mortals with just beautiful looks, and no substance.
However, many are her subordinates.
Nonetheless, many are claimed to be self indulgent, and undying beauties.
Yet, as we delve into Aphrodite, she may be not just a mere mythical character, she is linked to the upper class lineage... As her days of Veneralia come to an end.
As we come to our dreadful end of
One Saucy Wench: Aphrodite & Booty Calls, And Desire For Mortals Loves: Part 3 As Aphrodite/Venus come to an end.
A Doomed Love
Famous Love
Aphrodite & Adonis
Adonis (asteroid 2102)
The God of Beauty, and sexual desire.
Adonis was a product of an incestual birth.

Myrrha (Asteroid 381, and also known as Smyrna) supposedly went under a deadly spell; after not sending praises to Aphrodite. Proclaiming that Myrrha was more beautiful, than Aphrodite herself.
Yet, there are many variations to this tragic tale.
Nonetheless, she became obsessed with her father, Cinyras king of Cyprus, and found a way to  for these two to procreate.
Sneak into his room in the night.

Eventually, he discovers he has been sleeping with his daughter, enraged he tries to attack his daughter. But after that failed attempt, he commits suicided. Myrrha drifts, and find herself in Arabia, eventually, asked the gods for help, they responded, and took pity; And turn her into an into a myrrh-tree from her tears. She gave birth to Adonis in her tree form. Yet, that various with different tales.

Adonis & Aphrodite

Adonis, and Aphrodite love story is built for novelty.
Yet, there is also another key player in the myth, Persephone(asteroid 399).
Nonetheless, Aphrodite took pity on him after Myrrha destruction.
His enthralling beauty, was more than intoxicating to Aphrodite, she went as far as hiding Adonis from other gods, and goddesses.

Nonetheless, she entrusted Persephone, who was entranced by the infant beauty also. She also wanted to keep him to herself.
Zeus interfered, and requested that Adonis be shared by both parties. Adonis grows into a beautiful handsome young man.
The delegated, of the years of his time spent  between both deities, were fair. However, Adonis ended up spending most of his free time with Aphrodite.
Albeit, that was cut short, with the death of Adonis.
While hunting Aphrodite leaves him, after delaying her own duties, nevertheless caution Adonis, not to attack an animal without fear. Yet, he forgets and dies from a confrontation with a boar, and  dies in Aphrodite arms.

Adonis
However, after his death Aphrodite realized where Adonis is in Hades, with Persephone, with the help of Zeus, once again. The two women come to an agreement that each will have Adonis for six months.

Yet, Adonis death is questionable. Some say Aphrodite former lover Ares were simply jealous, or Persephone enrage over Adonis favouring Aphrodite, or Artemis jealous over Adonis hunting skills, and aphrodite punishing her favorite, Hippolytos.
However, it is said that Aphrodite changed Adonis, into what we call now, the rose...

Mind you, details of this tale change with different poet, historian ..etc.
Children Of Divine Love
For the short amount of time this liaison lasted.
They come together to create one child, named Beroe, nymph of Beirut. Beroe has also been personify Amymone, and also Eunomia.
Known to be quite beautiful, although, mortal. Pursued by Dionysus, and Poseidon who she married. She was not at all vain, like her mother.
A Love that Brought Down An Empire?
Anchises( Asteriod 1173)
Aphrodite & Anchises
This mortal affair is quite interesting... it has a long lineage from Julias Caesar, To Brutes Brutus of Troy.
They have either named themselves, or by birth right are the descendent to Aphrodite & Anchises loveless romance.

Anchises was the prince of Dardania, an Elite.

Anchises tale starts off with Zeus's retaliation  of some unknown hatred toward Aphrodite. Maybe because of the torment she put other gods through with desire for mortals, or maybe it's all aphrodite own doing..
I mean she's the goddess of love, right?
Anyway, she developed strong passion for the young prince. Dressed up in disguise Aphrodite tricked Anchises, and became his immortal lover.
Eventually, Anchises discover his lover is Aphrodite, when she shows up with a son named Aeneas, who became a Trojan hero. Yet, caution him to keep their liaison, a secret, or she would seek retaliation with thunderbolts, from Zeus.
Aphrodite paws are all over the Trojan war, starting with Judgement of Paris, and ended with heroic Aeneas ( asteroid 1172).
Lovers Or Not, History Deserves To Know What Not......
Boutes
I cannot find solid information of this minor deity. Yet, it seems he was close to farming, and maybe hunting. He is also known, as one of the Argonauts. However, this relationship may have brought forth Eryx.
There is not much information on Eryx, however, he was a Sicilian king of a small town. He's also known to be an excellent boxer; Yet, he came to his end after boxing match with Heracles. It seems he was mortal? I'm unsure.
Phaon
Phaon & Sappho
Was a boatman of Mitylene in Lesbos.
This is another liaison I question.
I'm not doubting the effect Aphrodite had on Phaon, but yet their encounter, seems to only suggests the altering his appearance.  Just for the act of charity out of Phaon as he ferried her across without payment, with aphrodite in disguise of an old woman.

Aphrodite took pity, and change the ugly old man into a beautiful young one, albeit, his tale is more connected to Sappho (Asteroid 80).
There is nothing concrete that these two were ever lovers.
Phaethon
Phaethon(asteroid 3200) a minor deity, the son of the goddess Eos, and mortal Kephalos.
Phaethon is also linked to Aphrodite. She made him, the guardian of her temple. She bore a son, named Astynoos. However, he is definitely the son of Phaethon, yet I'm not sure if Aphrodite is his mother.
Unsure Relation
Tyche (asteroid 258) the goddess of luck, the Roman equivalent Fortuna( asteroid 19). Her descendants are also questionable. Yet, she has been named the daughter of Aphrodite, & Hermes.

The Graces, Roman equivalent The Gratiae. The goddess of eloquence, laughter, beauty, & creativity.
Their known to be part of  Aphrodite's clan. They're many gods that have ben named parents to The charities; however, Dionysus , and Aphrodite has been named as one of them. Which I think is also very possible

Peitho( asteroid 118) the goddess of persuasion. Aphrodite, and Pethio are connected in mythology. Yet, I'm unsure if she is the mother of Peitho.. read more Peitho
Himeros the god uncontrollable desire. He is known as Aphrodite, & Ares son. Which makes sense.

Pothos the god of sexual longing, and yearning. Also known as Aphrodite, & Dionysus son. Which also makes logical sense. He was part of the Aphrodite entourage, and he carried wine for her.
.... I'm finally....
Leaving You With Words From The Most Beautiful Sauciest Wench.......
The evocative details are honestly exhausting. The gods, and goddesses has been entertaining,
yet The Maury Show, swapping of partners, and who's the baby daddy has come its end..

Nevertheless, Aphrodite importance to mortals, and immortals have plodded throughout, history with many notable names making claims to this divine lineage.

Not just the oh so famous Julius Caesar, but also Brutus of Troy also known as the first king Of Britian, and many more. Her power of persuasion expand further, then Cyprus, from Mediterranean sea, to Gaul, and back to Rome.

As The Month of April comes to its end, and praises of Aphrodite deeds that will never end, seeds that go far beyond that I can comprehend.. The month of love, and procreating has laid down to rest. Aphrodite has given us beauty that forever be linked to society. April is the time to bloom, with the goddess of love on a zoom
Our celestial has concluded, with beauty that could never be untied.
